Vinhthinh Biostadt 90-day disease prevention model – Effective disease prevention solution for white feces and EHP problems

Currently, when it comes to white feces disease & EHP, even large farms are very scared, because many treatment regimens previously recommended by functional agencies or measures implemented by shrimp farmers themselves are now almost ineffective against these two diseases, especially at the time of changing seasons or off-season. Through research and practical application, Vinhthinh Biostadt Company has built, developed and perfected the process of raising white-leg shrimp Penaeus vannamei with a comprehensive and effective disease prevention solution through the Vinhthinh Biostadt 90-day disease prevention model, in both tarpaulin and earthen ponds. The viewpoint of “prevention is better than cure” throughout the farming processIt can be said that the heart of the Vinhthinh Biostadt 90-day disease prevention model is the viewpoint of comprehensive disease prevention from the beginning, in addition to diseases such as AHPND, EMS, it is especially necessary to control bacteria Vibrio and microsporidia which are the main causes of white feces disease, EHP. The 90-day disease prevention model Vinhthinh Biostadt uses 100% high-quality products imported by Vinhthinh Biostadt entirely from reputable partners in the fields of veterinary medicine, aquaculture, chemicals, and microbiology to effectively manage environmental factors in the pond, improve nutrition and health for shrimp, create the best conditions for shrimp to grow quickly, reach the finish line early, and not get sick during the entire farming process.

The 90-day disease prevention model Vinhthinh Biostadt also ensures food safety and hygiene standards, because it says NO to antibiotics, so it is highly appreciated by shrimp farmers, processors and exporters.

The difference of the 90-day disease prevention model Vinhthinh Biostadt

The model is comprehensively controlled through the supply of input chains from breeds, nursery feed, water treatment chemicals, microorganisms and quality nutritional products. In addition, Vinhthinh Biostadt also has a team of skilled technicians, good expertise, good practices, always accompanying customers throughout the farming process. All of the above factors have created a difference and success for the model of Vinhthinh Biostadt in the recent past when many customers in the Mekong Delta region have achieved model goals such as shrimp farming to size 35 shrimp/kg after 90 days, survival rate over 80%, effective drug use costs have created low production costs for 1 kg of shrimp, increasing profit value for farmers.

Effectiveness and practical significance

From the beginning of 2024 up to now, Vinhthinh Biostadt has implemented 237 90-day disease prevention models at farms of customers belonging to Vinhthinh Biostadt‘s agents and 148 models have been harvested with very positive results.

Accordingly, the tarpaulin pond models are stocked with an average shrimp density of 177 shrimp/m2 and follow the instructions of Vinhthinh Biostadt. True to the name of the 90-day disease prevention model, after 3 months of farming, many customers’ shrimp have overcome acute hepatopancreatic diseases, early death and most of all, are not infected with white feces disease, EHP to reach the finish line with an average harvest size of 35.1 shrimp/kg. More specifically, there are customers who, after 103 days of farming, have shrimp of size 23 shrimp/kg. The average yield in the tarpaulin pond model when shrimp pass 60 farming days until harvest reaches 5,399 kg/1,000 m2.

A typical example is the canvas pond model of Mr. Huy, Kien Giang. With only 400,000 PL, the Vinhthinh Biostadt breed, after 103 days of farming, Mr. Huy harvested a total of 17 tons, the largest size reaching 23 shrimp/kg. Or the model of Mr. Sang, Ca Mau, after 74 days of farming, he harvested 14 tons of shrimp, size 38 shrimp/kg with a seed quantity of 700,000 PL.

The earthen pond model also achieved many positive results. Specifically, at Mr. Ha’s farm in Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province. With only 160,000 PL, the Vinhthinh Biostadt breed, after 127 days of farming, Mr. Ha harvested 2,150 kg of shrimp, size 31 shrimp/kg, sold for 163,000 VND/kg. Or like Mr. Huyen in Tran De district, Soc Trang province, raised 300,000 PL, Vinhthinh Biostadt breed, after 119 days of raising, he harvested shrimps of size 35 shrimp/kg, yield 7,100 kg sold at 151,000 VND/kg. He said, the shrimp had a survival rate of about 83% and the profit was quite high…

Not only achieving high productivity and large shrimp size, the 90-day disease prevention model Vinhthinh Biostadt also has great significance in disease prevention. Practical results recorded show that in the harvested customer ponds, the proportion of ponds with white feces symptoms is only 11.4% and EHP is only 2.5%. This rate is quite low compared to the general rate of ponds in the Mekong Delta at present and Vinhthinh Biostadt is continuing to take care of the models being implemented to have better results in the future.

The reason we say meaningful is because, in this year’s farming season, white feces disease and EHP appeared very early, causing a lot of damage to shrimp farmers. The peak was in June-July, when many areas were forced to harvest early because shrimp were infected with white feces disease and EHP. Harvesting early resulted in small shrimp, very cheap prices, and farmers suffered losses. In addition, white feces disease and EHP also resulted in a shortage of raw shrimp occurring early, right at the beginning of August, especially a shortage of medium and large sized shrimp.

Technical solutions applied in the process

For the treatment of input water, we use the product FANTAI TCCA/ CHITA TCCA, with a dose of 15 ppm for the purpose of killing crabs, crustaceans, killing fish and ensuring complete destruction of bacteria.

For environmental management in the pond, we mainly use 2 types of powdered microorganisms MERABAC W and enzyme POLY–ZYMES, to provide beneficial microorganisms for the pond, inhibit Vibrio bacteria and clean the water, especially very effective in preventing “coin fungus” which is the main cause of white feces disease.

For nutritional and supplementary products, we use the product ESOMAX, an antibiotic essential oil, extracted from herbs, tested at prestigious universities such as Kasetsart, Thailand and the School of Fisheries, Can Tho University, for its effectiveness in inhibiting Vibrio bacteria and preventing white feces disease, EHP.
